The Swim Team & Alumni Challenge

Just added in 2024: A trophy will be awarded for the top finisher of this swim team challenge that you will keep until a new champion gets crowned in 2025. Even better, each swim team that registers in this division will be provided a designated cheering section (beach and picnic table area) to decorate and use as your team's base. The Champion swim team will earn bragging rights throughout the year, public acknowledgement on all SWAM’s social media platforms, and a chance to take home the trophy, to display with pride throughout the year at the location of their choosing until a new champion has been crowned in 2025!

  • · Sign up as a 10K relay team, identify your team as part of the swim team challenge, identify what type of team you are (college, high school, masters, etc) and provide your team name. Please make sure this info matches for your entire team since each member can sign up themselves. Teams consist of 3-5 members. Each teammate must swim at least one lap

    · Challenge will require at least 3 teams to register.

    · If more than 10 teams register, we will break down into segments by type of team (at least 3 teams per type)

    · The race rules remain in compliance with the current race rules

    · The Challenge for Champions is only applicable for relay teams, and not the individual races. Those from the participating groups who wish to swim an individual race may do so, but their participation does not contribute to the group’s chance at winning.

    · Swim With A Mission is an event that raises funds to support Veterans and our Navy SEALs. Top fundraising teams will be recognized and have a SEAL in their cheering section.

  • As teams register they will be added to this list. Check back soon to view the competition!

VOLUNTEERS

We could not do this fabulous event without the help of volunteers. All volunteers MUST register online through the link VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION.

  • You will choose your distance 1K, 5K and 10K as well as to be along the 10K Relay Course. You can also choose to be a race leader or a follower. The leader will need to be able to stay on pace with the lead swimmer in that distance and the follower will need to stay behind the last swimmer in that distance. You must have your own kayak or SUP and need to be ready to go before the pre-race meeting begins at 7:00AM

  • We will need safety boats along course and stationed at turnaround buoys. You will remain out on the course for the entire race, until the last swimmer has gone by. All boats MUST have a passenger to act as a spotter on your boat. You will meet the boat coordinator out in Wellington Bay at about 6:45AM.

  • Please sign up for a time slot through volunteer registration and we will assign you to a job when you arrive.

SWAM TO REMEMBER

To honor and remember the 96 New Hampshire soldiers who have died in service to our country since 2001 in the Global War on Terror, we will be sending everyone who registers for the swim a bracelet to wear while training and competing in the event. Each bracelet will have the name, branch, rank and the date each service member made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. You can see all of these service members listed on our Honor Wall and learn more about the lives of each fallen hero.
